Initial Setup


I must confess that my test system really didn't live up to the glamorous nature of this kit. The G.SKILL Trident Z Royal still looked stunning.


The light bar on the G.SKILL Trident Z Royal is the best I have seen, with crisp, clean effects and an unrivaled clarity and brightness.

Thaiphoon shows that these are Samsung B-die chips on a 10-layer PCB.


NOTE: A GPU driver update was required with the latest installation of Windows.

Most benchmark scores remained consistent, but PCMark 8 has been omitted from this review for showing anomalous results.
