Packaging for the GAMDIAS HERMES E3 is quite similar to what we saw with the HERMES M5, which is a good thing for brand recognition. There is a plastic wrap over the box, which I maintain is a waste of material in this application. The box itself does admittedly look busy, with a lot going on even on the front. It is effectively of two parts, with a black background on the left that has the company logo and a large render of the keyboard to go with salient marketing features. On the right is more of the same along with the product name, but on a white background. GAMDIAS somehow managed to muster up even more text for the back in multiple languages, with another keyboard render greeting us here. To no one's surprise, there is yet more on the sides, including a seal in the middle over a double flap to keep the contents in place during transit.
Opening the box, we see the keyboard inside a foam wrap and held in place between two very thick foam pieces on either side for further protection. The accessories are inside a smaller cardboard box and include the detached keyboard cable, which is unlike what we saw on the HERMES M5. The USB Type-A to male USB Type-C cable points towards the use of Type-C connectivity on the keyboard. GAMDIAS also includes a plastic ring-style keycap puller, which unfortunately can scratch the sides of keycaps in use. This one is again in black to match the cable and the case, unlike the orange one that came with the HERMES M5. I am still confused over the lack of a product manual, especially since there are plenty of onboard controls here. GAMDIAS does have a PDF of the manual on the website, and linked on the product page too, but I would say a printed copy is all the more critical on a 60% keyboard.
