A Closer Look

Once freed from the box, each stick looks pretty good on its own. They have a nice heft to them, and a smooth paint job gives them a quality feel some other DIMMs kind of lack. The logo in the middle means business.

The top RGB portion stands a fair distance above the norm of where a standard DIMM would end, so this might affect which heatsink you might use if you're one to opt for air-cooling. The DIMMs are single-sided 1R DIMMs for maximum compatibility with all modern CPUs.

I kind of like how these DIMMS look with mismatched stickers on either side. It makes the label that much less annoying simply by being balanced.

A Ryzen sticker denotes their readiness to AMD's newest mainstream CPUs. On the label are the timings, voltage, and rated speed.

I like playing with trying for the utmost in memory clocks and running benchmarks, so I'm always on the lookout for anything that might help differentiate one set from another in order to help find the best of the best to then search for the best of those.

Unfortunately, there's not much of that here, so you'll just have to try your luck and see what you get if you're into memory overclocking. Going by what seems to be the serial number on this kit, I did get one with a whole bunch of zeros in front of a single "1". I think I got the first kit ever made!
