Introduction

I would like to thank CaseKing.de for supplying the review sample.

CaseKing is one of the few companies out there, which will not just sell anything. They only offer hardware that performs well and is of high quality. The shop carries quite a few exclusive parts and devices from all around the world and it is also the official distributor for a long list of well known manufacturers. Their assortment has grown substantially in recent years, while great service and support is still a very important part of the shop philosophy. The website may be in German, but due to great demand an English version is also available.

CaseKing has kindly sent us the Gigabyte Setto 1000 in black. The chassis is also available in two different black/silver combinations, but there is no pure silver version. The case is rather cheap, but offers a very nice and solid exterior for the price - perfect for those on a budget. We also got the Odin 470W PSU from CaseKing to show you along with the enclosure. This power supply is also aimed at the same market segment.

Packaging

Gigabyte packages the Setto 1000 in a full color box. The front does not have an image of the chassis, instead the model name and number is printed all over the front. The rear - on the other hand - goes into great detail with all three versions of the case shown, as well as plenty of smaller shots of various features. Considering the budget nature of the chassis, there are a whole lot of these small images, which may make you think that the case is packed with features. Most of these focus on the outside of the chassis however. You will find the specifications listed on the side of the cardboard box.

The case is secured within the package with Styrofoam spacers, while a fairly thin plastic bag further protects the case from scratches.

Contents

You will not find a lot of extras inside the box. Gigabyte has included the bare minimum of screws as the case has a screw-less system to hold your drives in place. A folded black & white poster holds all the basic information to install your hardware within the Setto 1000 successfully.
