When entering the X570S AERO G BIOS, the first thing that will come up is the Easy Mode. It gives you the ability to set the memory XMP profile, drive boot priority and fan control without digging deep into the BIOS Advanced Mode. On the right side is the list of sub-menus that can be accessed by pressing the corresponding F-key or using the mouse.
Switching to Advanced Mode, it is still a Gigabyte BIOS, as the layout matches the AORUS gaming series. However, instead of black and orange theme that is it often remembered for, the background is white with gray text. Those familiar with Gigabyte previous motherboards should feel right at home. Though, the only real complaint is that it is extremely hard to read some of the text. Black would have been a better option, the gray is used to match the box color theme, which is a pity to see for such a poor decision. That being said, I am glad to see the Favorites menu return, which allows adding and subtracting commonly used settings for future convenience. This becomes extra useful when dealing with add-on cards that may need special settings. If you for some reason need to swap hardware for different projects, this can be a big time-saver.
Since this isn't an overclocking oriented motherboard, entering the Advance Menu is unlikely for most users. However, for those that are looking for a specific setting, pressing ALT+F will bring it up anywhere inside the BIOS. Why this is not in the Easy Mode menu or an F-Key is a bit questionable when those who will use it the most, are probably the ones who are least likely to go into the Advanced BIOS section in the first place.
Overall besides the obnoxious white screen and gray text, I think Gigabyte has included a well-rounded BIOS. Unfortunately, I cannot test the dozens of specific specialty PCIe add-on cards on the market. There is always a chance, it will not work and it is always best to contact Gigabyte, the add-on card maker or ask on these forums before buying if the hardware requires specific settings to be enabled in the BIOS.
