Established in 2014, Glorious is a peripherals company based in the United States. Since Glorious decided to skip the Model D 2 Wireless, the Model D 2 Pro 4K/8KHz Edition is the direct successor to the Model D Wireless. Compared to that mouse, the Model D 2 Pro 4K/8KHz Edition does several things differently. Despite no longer having any holes, the Model D 2 Pro 4K/8KHz Edition is much lighter at 62 g, though it also does without any RGB lighting. Instead of mechanical switches, the Model D 2 Pro 4K/8KHz Edition utilizes optical switches rated for 100 million clicks from RAESHA for the main buttons, whose main benefit is their inability to ever develop double-clicking due to wear and tear. As for the sensor, the BAMF 2.0 sees use, which is PixArt's PAW3395 sensor capable of 26,000 CPI. True to its name, the Model D 2 Pro 4K/8KHz Edition can do up to 8000 Hz polling in wired and up to 4000 Hz in wireless operation. At 1000 Hz, Glorious indicates a battery life of up 80 hours, whereas for 4000 Hz, up to 35 hours are cited. The feet are unchanged over the Model D Wireless and still made of PTFE, and configuration is done in Glorious Core, which has all the usual options. The Model D 2 Pro 4K/8KHz Edition is available in either black or white.
