Glorious Model O 2 Pro 4K/8KHz Edition Review

Shape

The Model O 2 Pro 4K/8KHz Edition differs from the Model O 2 Wireless both on a visual and geometrical level. Most notable is the total absence of holes, be it at the top or bottom. Furthermore, the main buttons are no longer framed by ledges, as the design once again approaches that of the original Model O, including how deep the comfort grooves are. Interestingly, the dimensions too are closer to that of the Model O, as the Model O 2 Pro 4K/8KHz Edition is longer than the Model O 2 Wireless, though it is also wider than the Model O 2 Wireless and, by extension, the Model O. Due to the RGB lighting stripe now being gone, the side buttons have retained their shape and layout but moved up compared to previous Model O variants, leaving more space for the thumb, though the buttons themselves also have gotten smaller. Overall, the changes don't amount to a different feel in-hand (let alone a noticeable one), so anyone fond of previous Model O releases will likely feel right at home with this one, too.

As for grip styles, I'd say the Model O 2 Pro 4K/8KHz Edition is generally suited for all three main grip styles, which are palm, claw, and fingertip grip. It is a large mouse with a barely pronounced hump, which makes it suit medium to larger hands. For reference, my hands are 19 cm long and 10 cm wide, and I found the Model O 2 Pro 4K/8KHz Edition very comfortable in claw grip.
