HarmonicDyne and I have a patchy review history here on TechPowerUp, with the P.D.1 IEMs proving to be poor value for money but having excellent accessories, design, and build quality. These qualities being taken up a notch by the HarmonicDyne Zeus headphones that could justify the price tag courtesy of a fun, warm tuning backed by, once again, an excellent package. Then came the HarmonicDyne Poseidon with its unique nickel-plated dynamic driver, but it was more formulaic in execution and did little over the Zeus to where I am still looking for a slot in my schedule for a review, given the otherwise lackluster sound signature it gives. So when Linsoul started teasing a new HarmonicDyne product, which also happened to be a planar set of headphones, I admittedly wasn't particularly excited.

Then I saw the HarmonicDyne G200 in photos and read about the features, design, build quality and drivers. It was happening all over again - I was getting into the hype of a HarmonicDyne product! I agreed for Linsoul to send over a review sample to see for myself whether this time they got it right, also because there has not been a lot of coverage of the set in the media. Those who have listened to the G200 at trade shows provided generally positive impressions, and admittedly this set appears to have addressed some of the headband issues plaguing the previous dynamic driver sets too. A review from The Headphone Show then came out and it appeared that perhaps the stock ear pads weren't ideal for the design, and in the comments section of the video was mention of YAXI—a Japanese ear pad manufacturer famous for its Koss Porta Pro replacement pads but also having several other products in its portfolio. I reached out to YAXI separately about its TH900/TH610 pads and thus here we are today with a two-in-one product review that goes through one set of headphones and a total of four sets of ear pads! There's a lot to go through thus, and we begin this review with a look at the product specifications in the table below.
