Introduction

HE-300 is yet another brand new design from Head-Direct. Unlike its bigger brother the HE-500s, the HE-300s are built around a dynamic which means they are easy to drive well. The HE-300s retain the same design as the HE-500s aesthetics wise. The only thing changed is the color of the ear cups and of course the internal driver assembly. Where the planar magnetic drivers of the HE-500s pretty much takes up the entire space inside the cups the 50 mm drivers in the HE-300s look petite in comparison.

According to Head-Direct the headphones will be launched next week and will retail for $299. The sub $300 category is filled with great bang for the buck performers like the Sennheiser HD580 and HD600s among other newcomers from Denon and Shure.
