Finished Looks

The ID-Cooling FI-REEX Deluxe is certainly impressive, with its exceptional build quality giving it a premium feel to go with its premium price tag. Coming in at 1400 g with fans, it is also no lightweight. The Noctua NH-D15, for example, is only 1320 g with fans, which makes the FI-REEX Deluxe the heaviest air cooler I have tested to date.

Top-notch quality and an innovative design make the FI-REEX Deluxe feel fresh. Sadly, the brown fans will not appeal to everyone. I myself cannot help but make the comparison to Noctua's equally divisive color choice as both manufacturers' fan-color choices fall into the love-it-or-hate-it category.

Clearance around the socket is alright, with no real issues to report as FI-REEX Deluxe does clear all heatsinks. Access to the EPS 8-pin power connector is also okay, though a bit more problematic with the motherboard inside a smaller case.

Memory and expansion-slot clearance is not a strong point. The FI-REEX Deluxe blocks off one DIMM slot and gets in the way of the first expansion slot. You might want to rethink things if you plan to use four tall memory modules, and the same goes for a mini-ITX build. Double check clearances before you take the plunge.
