Finished Looks
After everything is connected, the case can be powered on. As you can see, I have used a beige optical drive, but thanks to the door, that does not make a difference. The rear looks as expected, with all the connectors accessible, when the rear frame and door has not been replaced.
Once the rear door is back on the case, it does obstruct the edge of the mainboard backplate a tad bit, but not enough to block any connectors. The cables can be routed downward and out of the case. Using a generic USB cable to test this functionality, I found two problems. First, the plug is too large, obstructing the door and second, the magnet does not hold the door shut when routing cables in such a way. In Win has confirmed that the retail version of the chassis will have stronger magnets to resolve that issue. Upon closing the rear door, you can clearly see the power cable being routed out the lower back.
Turning the case on does not have any obvious visual aids to let you know that the unit is up and running. Just a simple blue LED up front and a nearly silent fan noise give away the fact, that the unit is active.
