Test Setup

• Stock (green bar): All Turbo limits are at default. When TDP is exceeded, the processor will be able to run beyond the TDP setting for a short time (as configured by Intel) before it will reduce clock speeds to maintain its TDP for a long duration.
• Max Turbo (red bar): All Turbo limits are removed. This is the default setting of our ASRock motherboard. Clocks and multipliers are left at default.
• OC 5.2 GHz (blue bar): We manually overclocked the CPU to an all-core x52 multiplier, which yields a permanent clock speed of 5.2 GHz regardless of how many cores are active.

• All applications, games, and processors are tested with the drivers and hardware listed below—no performance results were recycled between test systems.
• All games and applications are tested using the same version.
• All games are set to their highest quality setting unless indicated otherwise.
