Lian Li Galahad 240 AIO Review - Good Performance, Exceptional Looks

A Closer Look

The aluminium radiator has a bit more heft to it because of the machined aluminium side plates, which contribute to the cooler's overall design aesthetic. It has a fins per inch (FPI) of 20, which is right in line with most AIOs, as the average is 20-21 FPI. Keep in mind that while more fins do mean more surface area for cooling, it also means more noise. This is because a denser radiator needs faster or higher static pressure fans. The fittings are nothing special, but they do have a hexagonal shape rather than the traditional circular offerings. While this has no impact on quality or performance, it does make them a bit more interesting visually.

The pump block is circular by design, with the fittings and wiring coming out on the same side. As for the top cap, it can be rotated to keep the logo the right side up no matter which orientation you use. If you don't want to see the logo at all, Lian Li includes an aluminium cap that lets you see the ARGB lighting but magnetically attaches to the pump housing to cover the logo. This further improves the Galahad 240's appearance, at least in my opinion. It is also a step up from the more typical plastic caps with plastic tabs or the like. In regards to the copper cold plate, it is clean and smooth with only very minor visible machining marks. Overall, the design looks good and feels solid, so I have no complaints to speak of here.

The ARGB fans with model number GF.12F19P.R50B0 have a PWM range of 800–1800 RPM with airflow rated at 65.53 CFM. The fans have a square frame with some notches for added visual appeal compared to more typical designs. Rubber vibration pads are included, and the fans each make use of nine blades.
