The Mad Catz F.R.E.Q. 4 is configured using the software driver of the same name. Its interface looks dated, which is putting it mildly. It's not at all intuitive to use. How to access its many functions isn't immediately obvious as you have to double-click on the "Speakers" and "Mic" options to open their respective menus. Here, you'll find the volume control, a system-wide equalizer, the microphone monitoring function, as well as various sound effects, such as Xear Audio Brilliant, Xear Dynamic Bass, Xear Smart Volume, Xear Smart Volume, Xear Voice Clarity, and so on.
