For the internal drive included with the laptop, we have a Western Digital unit on the GP76 Leopard. Its performance is fine. With 1 TB of total storage capacity, there's plenty of room for games and such on the MSI GP76 Leopard, and there is a second M.2 slot should you want to add another. I'd like to see slightly better performance from stock laptop drives, though. ~1750 MB is alright, but with many drives doubling that speed, plenty of other options could be included instead.
USB 3.0 transfers are tested using an ORICO 6518 Series USB 3.0 docking station paired with a Crucial MX200 500 GB. For these tests, Crystal Disk Mark and HD Tune Pro are utilized to test and verify performance.
USB 3.0 performance meets expectations.
