The fans are controlled by a Nuvoton chip, which is commonly seen on motherboards.
Fan control on the MSI MPG Z690 Carbon WiFi can be accessed in the BIOS. MSI does have fan-controlling software, but I did not see it available for download while writing this review.
The MSI MPG Z690 Carbon WiFi has a total of eight main fan headers; two for the CPU cooler along the top edge of the board above the DIMM slots, one to the right of the DIMM slots, four below the last M.2 socket, and one to the side of the upper-most PCIe slot.
