MSI has done little to change their BIOS design with this new platform, and that's a good thing. What they have been offering with their UEFI BIOS design gets custom-skinned for each product, but all the options and the layout are the same, making it super-easy for you to find the options you need if you have had any of MSI's other boards from within the past couple years. When it comes down to the options offered for this board in particular, I couldn't ask for more, really, and the little bit of pre-defined overclocking built in is perfect for those who just want a modest boost, while the detailed options are ready for you to push both your CPU and your memory to the limit and back. According to MSI, the BIOS has been pre-tested with well over 2000 different memory modules, a grand feat that ensures that no matter what memory kit you buy, you'll have no issues with just enabling XMP and being on your way. Things being that simple may not be everyone's cup of tea, but none of us can be bothered to fuss about with memory timings, either, so MSI really has taken the added steps required to ensure that no matter what type of user you are, the MSI X299 SLI PLUS's BIOS is ready for you.
