Overclocking
Pushing a serious overclock on the MSI Z270 GAMING M7 is perfectly easy. You can do it manually or use one of the pre-set profiles or the OC knob easily enough; whatever way you like to do it, you can with the Z270 GAMING M7. My "reference 5.0 GHz" overclock worked without hassles.
You do also get a POST display for diagnosing boot issues, along with a simple quad-LED group that simplifies those codes to a general region. You also have direct measuring points for critical system voltages should you really want to take things to the next level.
You do also get the OC dial for easy overclocking right next to onboard power and reset buttons to make sure you can use an open testbench and forgo having a full case, and should you need to flash the BIOS, an onboard slot along with a button to enable an automated flashing process are also here.
All of this is provided on a 6-layer PCB rather than a 4- or 5-layer PCB as with some other boards for this platform.
