MSI Z370 GAMING PRO CARBON AC Review

Install and Finished Looks

It's always the small things that really catch my attention, and there are plenty of those here on the MSI Z370 GAMING PRO CARBON AC, like the little diagram above to show you which DIMM slots you should use first right by the DIMM slots - you don't have to open the manual for such things. It's a small thing, but who likes to look at their manual to figure something like this out? Not me, that's for sure! MSI understands this and clearly wants to make your PC-building experience that much easier.

I did run the MSI Z370 GAMING PRO CARBON in multiple configurations; both with RGB LED memory and without, and I did swap the VGAs and the CPU out several times to see how the board reacts to each configuration. I love how the RGB LEDs highlight the dragon found on the back of MSI's GTX 1080. These VGAs are the perfect match for any MSI motherboard, of course. Slapping in the Seasonic PRIME TITANIUM 1000W PSU ensured I had the power I needed no matter what configuration I had in use.

These particular RGB sticks are super-bright, which helps show how subdued the board's LEDs are in comparison. Then remove that memory and stuff in some memory without RGB LEDs, and while there is a nice soft red glow here from the board, it's perfectly matched to the MSI GPUs I've used to test this product. You can't get much better looking than this as long as you aren't one of those RGB haters who are often found in our forums. I did make sure to have pictures of the system set up without the RGB RAM to show you how it looks with a bit less "bling".
