As per usual, we start with the detailed dimensions of the chair.
Backrest
The chair's dimensions are to a degree adjustable. Its height ranges from 132–141 cm (51.96–55.51") and the backrest is 87 cm (34.25 ") tall and 54.5 cm (21.25 ") wide at the shoulder level, and 29.5 cm (11.61 ") wide at the pelvis level. The steel frame is durable and can support a body weight of up to 120 kg (264.55 lbs).
The angle between the backrest and the seat's base can be adjusted by a silver-colored grip with the noblechairs name and logo engraved into it. This grip is on the right side of the base and allows the backrest to recline by up to 135° degrees.
Since the design used is that of the motorsport bucket seat, both the backrest and the seat's base have contoured edges to support that aspiration. With such broad dimensions, the edges also won't restrict user of up to 120 kg. Another feature we previously mentioned is the carbon-fiber-like stripe noblechairs runs over the seat's base and the backrest. The carbon fiber bolsters and exquisite Petronas green stitching on the black PU cover make for an unusual combination. The cutouts on the headrest are for the elastic straps of the complimentary cushions to go through and secure to the rear of the backrest, and the silver color these cutouts are covered in matches the silver color on the five-star base and the metal grip. Together, they make for another noticeable detail.
In terms of cold and hot environments, the synthetic PU cover does maintain its temperature without causing any discomfort. However, note that we never had temperatures exceed 24 °C (75.2 °F) because of the strict climate control in our lab.
Seat Base
The seating area has a width of 56 cm (22.05 ") and is 56.5 cm (22.24 ") deep, but after the backrest is put in place, the remaining sitting area decreases to 49.5 cm (19.48). In terms of ergonomics, we find the typical adjustments options to be present.
By lifting the plastic lever on the right side and under the seat's base, you may adjust the seat's base height from the ground up from 50 cm to 59 cm (19.68–23.22 ").
On the left side of the seat's base is another plastic lever that locks and unlocks the tilt mechanism. Under the seat's base is a height-adjustable safety class 4 gas lift that leads to the rocking mechanism at the chair's front edge; it can be adjusted by up to eleven degrees (11°).
By turning the control knob at the bottom of the seat, the tilt can be adjusted dynamically. Moreover, the chair swivels around 360 degrees.
As mentioned, the steel frame can support users of up to 120 kg (264.55 lbs), which is not that high. The entire build of the original EPIC design gaming chair this chair is based upon is meant for prolonged gaming and office use and features deformation resistant cold foam to ensure long-lasting comfort.
Five - Star Base & Gas Lift
The five-star base is made out of aluminium and covered in a glossy silver color.
The nylon 60 mm casters are of the typical dimensions noblechairs uses and have nylon cores that make them run almost the same over flat surfaces and soft flooring. What is different from those we have seen noblechairs use up to today is their color; they are silver, with the Petronas green for the details instead of black.
The safety class 4 gas lift can support up to 150 kg, but noblechairs suggests users keep to their stated weight limit of 120 kg.
Armrests
This gaming chair uses 4D armrests that are adjustable in four directions to suit everyone's needs and preferences—forward and backward, up and down, left and right, and angled inward and outward. They are very comfortable to the touch and easily adjustable. The only negative we could come up with as far as the design is concerned is that the armrest cover is made out of PU (polyurethane material). Since noblechairs has embellished this limited-edition gaming chair with details taken from the Mercedes-AMG Petronas Motorsport team, and given the hype around the collaboration of the two companies, we would have liked the armrests to be covered in same carbon fiber material, as on the seat and backrest.
Neck & Lumbar Support cushions
The neck and lumbar pillows have an embroidered Mercedes-AMG Petronas Motorsport logo, and for more options while seated, the Petronas green and white stitching are also included in the bundle.
Both pillows are very comfortable and covered in velour fabric.
The small cushion supports the neck, and the large pillow supports the lumbar region.
The lumbar pillow can freely be adjusted upwards or downwards to support the lower back, by the elastic straps along the backrest. However, should you want to use the cushion without the straps, like a sofa cushion, you can since the straps of the lumbar pillow are removable. Optimal lumbar support should, however, offer both vertical and depth-specific adjustment options. The silver belt guides with which the elastic straps of both cushions are adjusted make for a nice detail that meshes well with the chair's other features.
