Usage Experience

Five different people tried this chair out for an extended period of time. The cooperation of two companies resulted in a fantastic combination of aesthetics and ergonomics. Having already reviewed the EPIC gaming chair this chair is based on, we had a good idea of what to expect in terms of dimensions and the padding of this unique edition.


We like soft padding on chairs, or, better yet, mesh. However, noblechairs has used high-density cold foam since the beginning, trusting that both the seat's base and the backrest will keep their shape over the years. All noblechairs chairs we own and happen to have used daily have kept their shape and solid padding, feeling as they did on day one. Having mentioned that, the noblechairs Mercedes-AMG- Petronas chair has a firm padding that offers the expected comfort after even several hours of use. As such, if you like soft padding more, make sure to first give it a try at a store.


Since the backrest and base are quite dense, two pillows for a bit more comfort have been included for the two main body parts that need the extra support. Both the seating area and the backrest are quite broad, and anyone seated will be kept in an upright position. Folding my feet up and on to the chair while playing or writing was also no problem. Every ergonomic adjustment was easily done as there were no obstructions, and the maximum tilt for the backrest is satisfactory. Build quality is consistent overall, and only high-quality materials were used. A negative is that the armrests could have been covered with the same carbon fiber material as on the bolsters. Additionally, we find the implemented lumbar-support feature of their Hero series to be a must-have ergonomic feature, and it is unfortunately missing here. I think it was intentionally left out to cut down on manufacturing costs.

Accessories

Even with as many great features as with this chair, optional accessories are always welcome. noblechairs developed a series of accessories to assist in customizing the sitting experience. A set of five 60 mm hard floor casters with automatic brakes, shorter gas lifts for smaller users, and the footrests to take the pressure off the feet and back for a better posture are some such options. noblechairs also offers a cleaning/maintenance kit for real and PU leather chairs. It makes cleaning your chair easier and protects the materials for better longevity.
