The cooler is designed by Arctic Cooling and consists of a metal base with fins and a cooling fan on top. Due to the low heat output of the RV740 GPU such a simple design is completely sufficient.
Power is delivered to the card via single six pin power connector.
The GDDR5 memory chips are made by Qimonda and carry the model number IDGV51-05A1F1C-40X. With a cycle time of 1.0 ns, they are specified to run at 1000 MHz (4000 MHz GDDR5 effective).
Instead of a Renesas L6788A voltage controller, Powercolor has chosen to use the UPI uP6201 voltage controller which is a cost efficient solution, but does not offer software based voltage control.
This is AMD's new RV740 GPU. It is the first GPU in the world that is made on a 40 nm process. Like all ATI graphics processors it is produced at TSMC Taiwan and packs 826 million transistors.
