Out of the box, the Raijintek Ophion Elite makes a really nice impression. The color option is a nice departure from the traditional black and even though several parts are made of plastic, the hues match up nicely and the paint makes a quality impression. Two pieces of tape hold the top cover in place, which utilizes magnets instead of screws.

In the front and back of the Ophion Elite are metal covers with elongated, dust filter equipped openings. The rear also has a grommet covered cutout through which to route your cables through in a nice and clean fashion.

Both sides of the Raijintek Ophion Elite are made of steel as well and have been perforated to allow for as much air flow into the enclosure as possible. It is good to see that Raijintek has forgone glass paneling for the benefit of better thermals.

In the top, the plastic cover has a bit of a diagonal design element, to give the chassis some visual depth but also limits air flow so hot air rising out of the chassis freely. As previously mentioned, this part of the chassis is held in place by some magnets, which unfortunately aren't very strong. Underneath of it, you can clearly see the PSU connector, an 80 mm fan mount and the motherboard mounting area within. All this is necessary for this type of layout, but further limits natural air flow. In other words, you should really add that 80 mm fan here and Raijintek should have included this out of the box as added value. Raijintek has also embedded a clean I/O panel here, with cool looking buttons. The only gripe we have are the blue USB-A ports and the square opening for the USB-C connector.

The Ophion Elite comes equipped with an ARGB lighting element all around the base of the chassis, a very cool feature, as this underside will fit well on your desktop to spruce things up. Tipping the chassis over, you can also see a fan mounting position for either a 120 or 140 mm unit. Raijintek includes a 120 mm one here out of the box that is set to pull air in and up the case. While that is generally useful, access to exterior air is very limited.
