Introduction
Founded in 1998, Razer is a US-based peripherals and gaming equipment company. In Greek mythology, Atlas is a Titan sentenced by the Olympians to balance the celestial spheres on his shoulders. By comparison, the Razer Atlas has a much more mundane task, in that it merely holds a gaming mouse. Being made of tempered glass, the Atlas provides a much faster yet highly durable surface compared to other hard pads or regular cloth pads. The surface has been treated specifically to ensure optimal tracking of optical sensors, which is further complemented by its above average thickness of 5 mm. All edges are rounded, and an oleophobic coating facilitates easy maintenance. The Razer Atlas is available in black or white.
