Shape

Although the DeathAdder V2 Pro is still unmistakably identifiable as a DeathAdder, the shape has received some minor changes over the years. For the V2 and, by extension, V2 Pro and V2 X Hyperspeed, Razer slightly altered the front flare on the right side to make it stick out less. In addition to that, the CPI buttons are now placed to the left of the left main button on the X Hyperspeed. Other than that, the shape is by all accounts the same: The classic right-handed ergonomic silhouette consisting of a raised left side curving inwards, centered hump gradually sloping down towards both ends, albeit with a steeper falloff towards the back, and the front and back flaring out. Compared to the Zowie EC shape, its main competitor over the years, the DeathAdder shape has more pronounced curves and an overall bulkier profile. All in all, a tried and tested shape worthy of being hailed as a classic.


As for grip styles, I'd say the DeathAdder V2 X Hyperspeed is equally suited for palm and claw grip. It's a large mouse with a moderately pronounced hump, which makes it more suitable for bigger hands. For reference, my hands are 19 cm long and 10 cm wide, and I found the DeathAdder V2 X Hyperspeed perfectly comfortable in claw grip.

Dimensions

This table includes the dimensions of the Razer DeathAdder V2 X Hyperspeed and several other right-handed ergonomic mice. "Front height" denotes the distance between the base and main buttons. Measurements with two decimals have been taken with a caliper, while those with one decimal have been taken with a ruler.
