A Closer Look - Inside

To access the interior, simply remove the side panels. The insides of the Rosewill Himars look quite simple upon first sight, with everything where you would expect it to be. On the backside is a single 2.5" HDD mounting bracket. It would have been nice to at least see two of these here since the hot-swap cage is only for 3.5" variants.

Speaking of the front, the hard-drive cage is firmly built into the chassis. There is a 120 mm fan to ensure the enclosed drives get a bit of airflow. Above that are the three 5.25" drive bays. Only two of these are supposed to be accessible externally, and all three come with a plastic locking mechanisms. You may use the other bay for hard drives if you need to but will have to buy the required brackets yourself.

The PSU bay in the rear is quite standard, with the unit resting on four foam-covered tips. Above that are the previously mentioned expansion slots with individual covers held in place by thumbscrews. The 120 mm blue LED fan in the top will light up the interior a little bit.

Looking at the ceiling from the inside, it becomes apparent that you have a lot of space to install potent liquid cooling without it getting in the way of any of the internal components or drive bays. On the floor is an opening for another 120 mm or 140 mm cooling unit. However, doing so will limit how long your PSU can be.

Last but not least, all the cables within the Rosewill Himars are of the standard variety and come with black sleeving to go with the chassis interior.
