On the bottom of the cooler you can see the copper base of Sapphire's Vapor-Chamber, which is basically a large surface area heatpipe that quickly moves heat away from the GPU die, vertically, to the cooling fins.
AMD's latest cards have been designed with power efficiency in mind, but the Sapphire HD 5770 Vapor-X still requires a single 6-pin PCI-E power connector - just like the reference design.
The GDDR5 memory chips are made by Hynix, and carry the model number H5GQ1H24AFR-T2C. They are specified to run at 1250 MHz (5000 MHz GDDR5 effective).
The GPU voltage is managed by a L6788A voltage controller, which seems to support I2C software voltage control, yet there is no software yet that can use it.
This is AMD's new Juniper GPU, it comes with 1040 million transistors, and is produced on a 40 nm process at TSMC Taiwan.
