Value and Conclusion

  • The Scythe Andy Samurai Master Cooler sells for $39.99 US Dollars.
  • Quiet fan
  • Excellent performance
  • Wide compatibility over several socket types
  • Incredibly simple installation
  • Fan is not totally silent
  • No fan grill
I was extremely pleased with the Andy Samurai Master Cooler. The quality of the construction is excellent, the base is very smooth and flat, and the whole cooler is light in weight. The installation was so incredibly easy, it only required a few quick steps, and nothing had to be removed from the case to install it. On top of that, the performance was great.
Although fan noise was not completely silent, it was rather low and, in fact, much quieter than the three heatsinks tested against it. Considering that the price is much less than the Big Typhoon or the CNPS9500-LED and the performance is better than either one, the Andy Samurai Master Cooler becomes a great value as well.
If you are currently using any of the CPU platforms supported by this cooler, or will be in the near future, I strongly suggest you look into the Andy Samurai for your CPU cooling needs. Overall it is an excellent cooler, and priced very competitively.
