Installation
To install the Scythe Fuma 3, you will first need to remove the stock AMD mounting clips on the motherboard. Then slide the AMD mounting screws through the proper holes on the mounting bracket, slide the spacer over the screw and attach it to the AMD backplate. Once everything is secure, apply thermal paste.
Next, mount the cooler to the mounting bracket alternating between the two screws for even pressure. Once that is done, you can then install the fans and plug them in. That's it, pretty quick and easy thanks to Scythe's mounting hardware design dubbed H.P.M.S. V.
Overall, the mounting hardware is super simple and easy enough to work with; however, on AMD systems, I would still prefer threaded standoffs rather than plastic spacers that require holding a screw, spacer, and mounting arm together before securing it to the motherboard backplate. Thankfully the fit here is good and it stays together better than many competing designs.
As for the installation on Intel, it is just as easy: simply place the backplate screws in the correct spot on said backplate, slide the spacers over the backplate screws and then secure the mounting arms on top.
