With a depth of 140 mm, this PSU is compact.


The PSU might be compact, but the Connect module certainly is not as it is 33 cm tall and 2 cm thick, which means your chassis needs at least 2 cm clearance behind the motherboard tray for the side panel to close with the Connect module installed. Finally, the Seasonic Connect is priced fairly for its unique design and new features.


The box offers adequate protection, and the bundle is extensive.


The main difference to the Focus units is the use of a larger 135 mm fan. The larger fan could lead to lower noise output, but Seasonic's engineers tuned the fan speed profile aggressively, which results in a quite noisy operation (Cybenetics LAMBDA-S+ rating).

Cables and Connectors

The cable that connects the PSU with the Connect module is affixed to minimize energy loses. It is quite short, which makes installation easier. This cable has two connectors, a 20-pin for transferring power and a 10-pin for the sense gauges.


The modular cables are very short because the Connect module is installed much closer to the system's parts than the PSU. With two EPS and four PCIe connectors, you can build a strong gaming system with this power supply, while there are more peripheral connectors than usual as well. The only downside is the small distance between the 4-pin Molex connectors, and it would be nice if the SATA connectors were further apart as well.
