Build Quality and Comfort

Despite its size, the GSP 500 is extremely flexible, which means it won't have any trouble surviving a fall from the table and similar mishaps. Even though the headset is predominantly encased in plastic, the overall build quality is excellent. There are no unwanted creaks or anything of the sort.

The massive ear cups completely surround the ears and form a nice seal with the sides of the head. As I already mentioned, these are made entirely out of fabric. The ear cushions feel great and do a fantastic job of ensuring a truly superb level of wearing comfort. The weight distribution of the headset is excellent, and I didn't feel any discomfort when using it for five or more hours without taking a break.

The clamping force of the headset can be adjusted by using the sliders on the headband. My preferred setting was to have these as close to the center of the headband as possible, which results in less clamping force than any other setting, but not to where the headset would dance around on my head. Someone with a differently shaped and sized head will probably prefer some other setting. The choice is there.

The inner side of the headband is padded with a thick layer of foam covered in mesh fabric.

The ear cups have the freedom to move in various directions in order to adjust to various head shapes. They can also be adjusted in height—moved along the headband, to be more clear. Unfortunately, there are no markings on the headband that would make it easier to figure out if you adjusted both equally. You'll have to play with it a bit to figure out what works best for you.
