Packaging
The Sharkoon AK5G RGB ships in a black and white box. The white is more prone to discoloration due to dirt and grime during the shipping journey, but will also stick out more on a rack full of boxes. On the larger panels you will find an image of the chassis with some selling points, while both sides list the case specifications in a total of 14 different languages. A sticker will let you know which color variant is within the package.
Two Styrofoam spacers on the front and back of the case protect it during transport. This configuration makes sense, as it also fully covers the glass front of the case at the same time. A plastic bag has been placed over the case as an added layer of protection against scratches and fingerprints.
Contents
You will receive a very good assortment of black screws, as well as some zip ties. While Sharkoon does not include a manual with the AK5G RGB, you do get a little pamphlet with a QR code on it. In addition to all that, the case includes a magnetic mesh cover for the side intake area as well as a metal GPU support bracket, which also uses magnets to stay in place. Sharkoon did also send us the front of the AK5M RGB chassis, so we will show it off as well so that you can see the differences between the two case variants.
