Installation

To install the SilentiumPC Navis EVO ARGB 280, you will first want to prepare the backplate and pump. To do so, slide the backplate screws through the proper holes for your socket and use the appropriate plastic clips to secure them to the backplate. Next, secure the mounting arms to the pump, which is done with four smaller screws.

Next, I applied some thermal paste to the CPU before sliding the backplate into position. You will need to hold the backplate in place and slide the plastic washers over the screws.

While still holding the backplate in place, slide the pump on to the screws and secure it with the Phillips head nuts. While that sounds easy depending on your case, it may prove a bit troublesome. Once done, attach the radiator to the chassis.

All that remains is to attach the fans and hook up all the wiring.

Overall, I would rate the installation for the Navis EVO ARGB 280 a 7 on a scale of 1 (hardest) to 10 (easiest). In general, mounting the cooler is straightforward; however, holding the backplate in position and using one hand to place the pump on the CPU may prove quite troublesome in some situations. The pump kept wanting to move or shift, which was somewhat aggravating. The easiest solution would be friction fit spacers, which I hope SilentiumPC will make a note of and use in future models.
