SilverStone ST85F-PT 850 W Platinum PSU
Along with the chassis, SilverStone sent us one of their latest SFF PSUs, the fully modular ST85F-PT 850 W Platinum unit. We also received a short cable set, which should come in handy in such a small enclosure as the Sugo 14.
With the power supply, you will get a nice set of additional bits and pieces with a few Velcro straps, some classic zip ties, and two sets of mounting screws. All the cables are flat, and the GPU cables are a color-coded blue. On top of that, with the power delivery cable extremely thick, you will not have to worry about the PSU pushing its maximum wattage through.
Interestingly enough, while the Sugo 14 has no manual included, the PSU has a hefty multi-lingual manual alongside several others for warranty and regulatory aspects.
SilverStone placed a yellow warning on the power supply to let you know that the unit's fan will not spin up unless there is a certain amount of load on the system. Thus, the ST85F-PT can be considered of the semi-passive kind.
All but the 20-pin ATX plug are covered by rubber domes, so you only need to remove those you want to use. A large label on the side lets you and everyone else know which unit you have within, as well as its capacity. As you can see from this angle, the PSU is pretty compact and short, making it a good choice for the Sugo 14 with a 150 mm maximum length for the ATX power supply.
SST-PP05-E Short PSU Cable Pack
ST-PP05-E, their short cable pack, is meant for most fully modular PSUs from SilverStone, so you are not limited to using it with just the PSU in this review. The package is pretty self-explanatory, and you only get a little pamphlet with warranty and regulatory information with the set.
All the cables are around half the standard length and naturally fit perfectly, so we will use these for our review build within the SilverStone Sugo 14.
