I have spent over a month using this keyboard and I am still finding new things about it, such is the nature of this feature-rich beast. SKYLOONG is not a well-known keyboard brand, mostly because it has spent the vast majority of its existence as an OEM/ODM brand for others. Even now, it's held back by some things that keep it from being a top keyboard brand. The software experience is by far my biggest issue with the GK104 Pro, and probably also all other SKYLOONG keyboards too. It's improving though, and I am seeing some noticeable changes here and there already, with some keyboards also offering open-source firmware which helps you skip the notorious GK6XPlus drivers. Depending on whether you get the GK104 Pro with the larger screen, there may be a second software program to be used for further customization of that screen too. This one feels easier to use, yet the latest version on the SKYLOONG website itself is not compatible with it, having cited an older firmware which is incompatible. Good luck finding the firmware update necessary for it, it's much simpler to just use the older software instead.

Thankfully, you don't have to rely on either software program to feel the GK104 Pro gives you excellent value for money. It's a full-size keyboard that you can choose to have between 95 and 104 keys, one or two screens, knobs or more keys, a split space bar or a single one, use the onboard speaker to have the world listen to your keyboard typing in various sound effects, use the number pad as a dedicated calculator complete with optional voice prompts, use the integrated microphone to turn the onboard LEDs to a music visualizer, among other things, and more. This is all on top of the usual assortment of keyboard features we expect in 2024—hybrid wireless connectivity, long battery life, different custom keycaps and/or themes, multiple lubed switches and pre-lubed stabilizers, good dampening of keystrokes, hot-swappable switch sockets, and of course RGB lighting. SKYLOONG makes it hard to say whether my experience will be the same as yours, especially if you go with another themed version that may have opaque keycaps, but in general I appreciate how much you get here. I have no problem recommending the GK104 Pro in addition to acknowledging the innovation on offer.
