The Spire Pininfarina is a true designer item. It looks great and has some unique features. The incredibly thick aluminum coupled with the 1 mm thick steel make this a case which is nearly indestructable. The flip down butterfly doors are a great idea and do work well. Another great feature is the screwless design and it would have been great to have every drive bay inside the case equipped with these. The hard drive cage also simplifies the installation of the drives even further. All the simplicity inside the case is offset by the fairly complicated installation of the PSU and optical drives. You will need to remove both covers to gain access to the respective bays and the PSU still needs to be installed with normal screws as well. Spire has included three fans inside the case, which are actually quite loud by today's standards. This case is not something for the hardcore gamer, but rather meant to be placed in a designer home, under a glass table maybe in combination with some Art. Lebedev devices.
