This mouse should definitely be on your short list if you are a FPS gamer looking for a budget mouse. Since this mouse has a wealthy resolution of up to 3200 DPI and excellent scaling downwards, it can both be the high and low sensitivity gamer's weapon. Unlike the elderly 3200 DPI laser sensors the optical sensor employed by the Kinzu is able to be adjusted down to a mere 400 DPI and still yield excellent performance. Couple the tracking capabilities with the perfect mouse feet, a light weight body, short travel buttons and a lift off distance of only 2 mm and you are in for quite a treat.
The fact that the sensor scales well means that you are not tied to the native resolution of the sensor which can come in handy for low sensitivity gamers. The lift off distance is low, but not as low as that of the newest type laser sensors. Of course we have yet to see mice with these laser sensors in the sub $ 40 / € 30 price range where the Kinzu roams.
For the price you will have a hard time finding anything better for FPS gaming. The only performance related aspect where it underperforms is in the button area, with only four push buttons you will wind up a few buttons short in some FPS games.
