Shape

There's a reason why the Sensei is such a revered mouse even ten years after its original release: the shape. As a fully ambidextrous design (symmetrical; i.e., side buttons on both sides), the Sensei does not have any aggressive curves which would force one's hand into a certain position. The lines flow organically from the slightly narrower front towards the widened butt of the mouse, which ensures that the mouse sits comfortably in the palm. The hump is towards the middle and slopes down gradually. Although the Sensei is not a flat mouse, the front sits fairly low, which is reminiscent of the Zowie FK (which came after the Sensei). Notably, the sensor position is almost exactly the same as on the original Sensei, which had the sensor slightly below thumb level. In fact, down to the shape and size of the side buttons as well as the size and placement of the CPI button and LED, the Sensei Ten is indeed an exact replica of the original Xai/Sensei.


As for grip style, I'd say the Sensei Ten is suited for all three main grip styles (palm, claw, and fingertip). It's a large mouse, but the lack of aggressive curves and the overall "low" design should make it suitable for most hand sizes. For reference, my hand size is 19x10 cm, and the Sensei Ten feels very comfortable in claw grip.

Dimensions

This table includes the dimensions of the SteelSeries Sensei Ten and several other ambidextrous mice. "Front height" denotes the distance between the base and main buttons. Measurements with two decimals have been taken with a caliper, while those with one decimal have been taken with a ruler.
