Performance Rating

The following graph shows the total performance rating of the NAS in comparison to other units. The comparison is pretty straight forward: the tested unit is shown as 100% and all other units' performance is relative to it. Please note that the graph below only takes into account the raw performance, not the available features and functionality of each unit.

Performance per Dollar

The following graph will probably be the most interesting to most of you because it shows the price/performance ratio of each NAS. We looked up the current USD price of each NAS on the popular online shop Newegg and used it, along with all relative performance numbers, to calculate the Performance-per-Dollar Index. We search other popular online shops (Rigerdirect, Amazon) if Newegg doesn’t stock a specific unit, and search popular EU shops (e.g. Caseking) if the unit is not sold in the U.S., converting its price to dollars.
