Set Up and DSM OS Overview

As you will have noticed in the video, setup is straightforward, and DiskStation Manager is easy to use and with numerous features and options. Performing simple tasks won't be a problem as a novice user, and advanced users won't feel as though options or features are lacking.

When it comes to multimedia performance, you can easily stream high bitrate 4K files, but if you want to transcode them, the CPU will struggle to keep up. In other words, forget transcoding 4K media, at least through Plex.
