Value and Conclusion
- The 16 GB (2x 8 GB) Team Group T-Force Dark Z FPS 4000 MHz kit is available for around US$169.99.
- Good overclocking
- Striking aesthetic
- Great attention to detail
The design of the Team Group T-Force Dark Z FPS is classically familiar, harking back to kits from 5–10 years ago in the best possible way. The heat spreader is beautifully stamped, and the anodized black finish will let this kit blend into almost any build. The accents, like the mirror silver T-Force logo, complete the look rather than clash with it. I am a fan of the RGB LED trend in the market for its emphasis on greater consumer choice. For the same reason, I can also appreciate an old-school design.
The Team Group T-Force Dark Z FPS performed well in testing. For overclocking, the Team Group T-Force Dark Z FPS proved to have a fair margin of overclocking headroom, reaching 4266 MHz stable with my MSI MEG Z490 GODLIKE and Intel Core i9-10900K combo. That's a good result, but my Ryzen testing was even more fruitful. The Team Group T-Force Dark Z FPS achieved 4533 MHz with the stock XMP timings on my MSI MEG X570 ACE paired with a Ryzen 5 3600X. I was also able to dial the timings to the "Fast" B-Die preset.
Finally, we come to the price. The Team Group T-Force Dark Z FPS comes in at around US$170.00. That is a good price for this specification, especially given the good overclocking results. If you are in the market for a high performance, no RGB memory kit, the Team Group T-Force Dark Z FPS is a great choice.
