Introduction

Team Group Logo

Team Group's T-Force brand just keeps on giving when it comes to new RGB designs, and for me, that's pretty exciting as things on that side of the market have been growing really quickly with all these new platforms that have launched in the past couple of years. Every new platform is the opportunity for new memory technology to get introduced, and this time around, with the launch of AMD's latest platforms, we've got better board-level RGB controls for everything, including memory, and a large number of new sticks and styles to match those new-found capabilities. From Team Group, we've got the T-Force XCALIBUR RGB sticks.

The T-Force XCALIBUR sticks are really meant to be a weapon in your arsenal against poor performance. These are sticks ready for use with the RGB motherboard control major brands are offering right now, so setting up how your sticks look and getting them to match the rest of your systems is quick and easy. Add in some decently high clocks and a purposeful choice in the memory chips used so you can tweak them yourself, and you've got a series of kits here that are purposefully designed for true memory enthusiasts and timing junkies. These sticks aren't rated for the tightest timings... that's up to you to figure out!

This is something truly a bit different as it takes a step back and looks at what made memory tuning so much fun long ago. What we've got are basically four different kits of memory, two designs at 3600 MHz and two at 4000 MHz. The timings are the same for both. Obviously, the 4000 MHz sticks are the best ones, but with the next set rated 400 MHz slower, there's clearly some clocking room left for you to play with here with the 3600 MHz set, while the 4000 MHz set is outfitted with some true top-level parts. Then, we've got two types of RGB light bars; they are both the same, but one has a totem print up top and is designated as the "Special Edition".

Today, I've go the 3600 MHz Special Edition T-Force XCALIBUR kit in my hands. Somewhere in a the midst of all these kits is a true legend, and it's up to us to find it! Let's take a look at what my own kit is capable of!
