Just like always, I used four different mice to test tracking: a Tt Iris Optical (PMW3325) and an ASUS TUF Gaming M5 (PAW3327) to test some medium-tiered sensors and a Logitech GPW (HERO) and CM MM530 (PMW3360) to check on the performance of high-end optical sensors. All mice performed as they should, without any errors or sensor-specific anomalies.
Cooler Master MM530 - PMW3360
Logitech G PRO Wireless - HERO
Tt eSPORTS Iris Optical - PMW3325
ASUS TUF Gaming M5 - PAW3327
These graphs show fifteen horizontal swipes with each mouse. If anything strange should happen with the sensor, this test (and others that aren't as impressive visually) will show it. I also did some in-game testing, which was done in Quake Champions and Overwatch—as expected, I ran into no issues.
Lighting
Like it or not, RGB mouse pads are a thing, and many different types are available today. Those with lighting integrated into their edge stitching are still rather rare, and to be honest, none I have seen so far are mind-blowing in terms of eye candy. The Haste XL RGB is no exception; it lights up, but is rather dim, and the transitions could be smoother. The settings can be changed via a physical button on top of the panel.
I made a video to demonstrate the lighting effects (please note that it is a lot brighter in person, which my camera struggled in capturing properly):
