Exterior
The mostly metallic exterior looks nice and absorbs some of the internal heat build-up.
There are several LED indicators, and below them is the power button. Unfortunately, there is no "copy" button and, to make matters worse, no front USB port, either.
On the sides, you will find small logos of the brand.
There are four small rubber feet at the bottom of the NAS, along with a label depicting the power requirements and a smaller one with the unit's serial number.
The two fans take up most of the real estate at the back.
The three LAN ports, of which one is capable of 10 Gb speeds. Besides the two USB 3.0 ports and DC In, you will also find an HDMI port, which is not utilized by the software at the moment.
We removed the trays to have a look at the SATA expansion card.
The trays are plastic and don't feature locks or anti-vibration material. Worse is that there is no tool-less disk installation for even 3.5" drives.
