Value and Conclusion

  • The Tesoro Real Madrid Gaming Chair retails for €349.99 in Europe (incl. 19% VAT) and $349.99 (excl. VAT) in the United States.
  • Officially Real Madrid C.F. licensed
  • Comfortable backrest and seat
  • Class-4 gas lift
  • Steel frame
  • Adjustable dimensions
  • Rocking mechanism
  • Pillows for lumbar and neck support
  • 150 degrees recline
  • 60 mm casters with nice design details
  • Satisfactory maximum supported weight (120 kg, which is 264.55 lb) for its dimensions
  • Available in two primary colors
  • Not that affordable
  • Should use 4D instead of 3D armrests
  • Seat should be a bit longer
  • Some visual flaws with the PU upholstery
  • Inadequate cushioning on the seat's contoured edges
  • The two levers under the seat should be placed a bit further towards the rear
  • Slightly stiff rocking mechanism for users below 60 kg (like me)
  • Two-year warranty is low for a product with such a price tag
I have reviewed plenty of gaming chairs with a PU upholstery in various color combinations. Some have made quite an impression because of their ergonomics and the high build quality, while others were just satisfactory. Whenever a company launches a dedicated product, it does so with the goal of capturing the attention of a large crowd. Such products then need to follow some specific design guidelines to capture the attention of those consumers. Tesoro seems to be on a good path so far as it has now also managed to close a deal with Real Madrid C.F., a huge brand name.

This chair design can either be used in gaming environments or in a fan lounge. Both available colors, black and white, are nice, offering a classic look that almost never goes out of fashion. Real Madrid C.F. fans will most certainly be thrilled because Tesoro focused on properly presenting the Real Madrid C.F. colors, emblem, and name. The overall build quality also seems to be a serious attempt at reaching the league of high-end gaming chair manufactures, but there is still work to be done before Tesoro gets there. The PU upholstery will last for quite a while—it will easily outlive the provided warranty. As long as you take care of it and clean it with warm water and liquid soap as the need arises, it will not peel and will last for many years.

The provided ergonomics include all the necessary features you would nowadays expect from a chair with such a price tag. That having been said, the most important aspect is how it feels after several hours of use. I prefer chairs with soft padding to the hard ones. Neither too soft nor too hard, both the backrest and seat are perfectly padded as far as I am concerned. The cushions, which are stuffed with memory foam, are comfortable, and even though the lumbar-support cushion seems bulky, I would not swap it out for another—if only the seat were longer.

Something else I liked is that Tesoro provides plastic covers for the openings on the seat's plastic bits, which is a visual detail that matches the overall rather gratifying looks of the chair. That having been said, nothing is perfect, which holds true for the Real Madrid gaming chair as well. In my sample, I noticed some flaws in the upholstery, which some might not deem too important. Moreover, the three-dimensional armrests are not appropriate for the asking price, which means this chair is most likely more expensive than it should be because of the licensing, and four-dimensional armrests would have increased its price tag even more.
