Installation

To install the Thermalright Silver Arrow ITX, start by preparing the backplate. First, place the mylar film onto the plate; that is, before putting the screws in place and using the plastic washers to hold it all together. With the backplate ready, place it onto the back of the motherboard.

Use the proper screw pillars to firmly hold the backplate in place. You can now secure the anchoring mount to these screw pillars.

Apply some thermal paste and secure the heatsink to the anchoring mount with the mounting plate and the provided screws. With that done, the heatsink is now fully secured and ready for the fan.

Simply attach the fan with the included fan clips and plug it into the CPU fan header, and that's it. The Silver Arrow ITX is ready to go.

Its universal mounting system made the install relatively quick and painless; however, installing the cooler into a case with the motherboard already mounted will prove much more difficult. With that said, I would rate the installation procedure an 8 on a scale of 1 (hardest) to 10 (easiest).
