Finished Looks

The black and silver design of the Thermalright cooler won't grab your attention the way an ugly RGB cooler will. That said, the subdued color scheme is in its own way attractive. The more neutral design does help it fit in with nearly any build possible.

What the True Spirit 140 Direct lacks in terms of in-your-face looks, it makes up for with solid design features. Its thinner heatsink means compatibility is improved, while the 140 mm fan should offer quiet cooling. There is an option for dual fans as well for those wanting a bit more performance without losing said compatibility.

Memory clearance is perfect, but GPU clearance is not. While it does clear the graphics card, the space between the cooler and GPU is minimal, and depending on case and orientation, there might be a chance of shorting out expansion cards in the first slot. This is something users should keep in mind. Mini-ITX systems I would pass on with the True Spirit 140 Direct; however, most ATX and Micro-ATX motherboards should not encounter any significant issues since most users leave the first slot empty when it's PCIe x1.
