TOPPING L30 II Amp: Packaging and Accessories

The TOPPING L30 II comes in an identical box as the L50 before, except in a black colorway as mentioned previously. This is a smoother cardboard box that has the TOPPING logo up front to go with the expected Hi-Res Audio badge. The company contact information is again seen on the sides, along with another sticker confirming that the L30 II in black is inside as well as the nature of the power supply included for your specific region. Opening the box we see a foam sheet over the contents that come neatly packaged in foam compartments.

As with the TOPPING E30 II, the L30 II comes with a warranty card and user manual (online copy found here). This too comes with support for multiple languages, although the amplifier is inherently simple in what it does, so you just need to be familiar with the connections on the front and back. Unlike the E30 II, however, there is a dedicated AC wall adapter to power the L30 II amplifier. I have the UK version of the same with the relatively big plug and housing, and we see it is a 15 V output that can provide up to 15 W of power to the amplifier.

Adding to my ever-growing collection of 3.5 mm to 1/4" (6.35 mm) adapters is another one from TOPPING, which is no different from others in being gold-plated and for headphones or earphones, with a 3.5 mm cable connector to the TOPPING L30 II that no doubt has a 1/4" output instead, as is the norm with most prosumer audio gear today. The L30 II unit itself ships inside a wax paper wrap that has the TOPPING logo, which helps keep the amplifier clean for your first hands-on experience.
