After reviewing the Tt eSPORTS Iris Optical RGB, I was really looking forward to checking out the Ventus X Optical RGB as well. Fortunately, I was not disappointed. People with bigger hands often struggle to find a comfortable mouse for a palm grip. While the Ventus X Optical RGB might not be the biggest one available, it is still bigger than the great average, and its performance is pretty much unquestionable, though not unmatched. The surface coatings are nice, and the mouse feels pleasant in the hands. Rubberized side grips also eliminate the chance of slipping accidentally, which is a nice touch. The ventilation holes at the back of the mouse do work like they should; swipe the mouse around and you can feel cool air flowing to your palms.

When you see a mouse that is equipped with a PixArt PMW3360 sensor, you probably should not worry about the sensor's performance. This applies to the Ventus X Optical RGB as well as the sensor is pretty much perfectly implemented; I encountered no malfunctions whatsoever. The only quirk is its input lag above 2000 CPI, so if you play competitively, I would suggest staying on or below that value.

I was pretty much amazed by the buttons of this mouse because most mice in this price range cannot seem to have them implemented this well. They have next to no unnecessary travel and feel tactile and well defined. The main buttons have a bit too much tension for my taste, but objectively, they are still amazing. The scroll wheel is also great, both its scrolling and the middle click feels pretty much perfect.

Unfortunately, the mouse feet did not live up to my expectations. They are too thin and might cause some scratching on thicker, softer mouse mats. Due to their thinness, they will probably wear out relatively fast. I had no real issues with their glide, though, but the friction could be a tad lower. As for the cable, it is very stiff, thick, and braided, which is nice if your cable tends to break, but for everyone else, it is a bit of a letdown. With a mouse bungee or some other method to compensate, it would work, but I would love to see companies focusing on using more flexible cables than this one.

The Tt eSPORTS Command Center driver software is still not my cup of tea, but it does the job well. I experienced no bugs, lags, or freezes while using it, so that's a big plus. Everything can be set up with ease once you get the hang of it. Some setting sliders are rather strange, and the whole design feels cluttered—I hope Tt eSPORTS will look into this in the future to touch it up.

Of course, this mouse does not lack RGB features either—cravings for eye candy must be satisfied, after all. The scroll wheel and rear logo can light up in 16.8 million colors, and they can be controlled individually, depending on the set lighting effect. The effects look nice, transitions are smooth, and the brightness is great as well.

The Ventus X Optical RGB is a great mouse, but needs some minor tweaking to become a true editor's choice. However, I would still gladly recommend it to users with bigger hands; there are enough good mice out there in this size, but most of them cost way more. The $49.99 price tag is still quite friendly, and of course, if it goes on sale, it can be a real bargain.
