A Closer Look - Ugreen Foldable Solar Panel (200 W)

Ugreen also provided us with their highest capacity, 200 W solar panels. These sport a handle that are formed by the ends of the folded up unit. They come with basic stands as well as holes to hang them on a structure.


As each of these are made up of four panels which are folded up, they do weigh quite a bit each - essentially twice as much as traditional 100 W variants. That said, the Ugreen PowerRoam 1200 Power Station is capable of being charged with up to 400 W using the power of the sun, as such it makes sense why they shipped two of these along for our review. The yellow plug for the delivery cable is encased into the handle, but unlike other brands out there, Ugreen does not include any USB ports unfortunately. As such these can't be utilized on their own to give your phone the ability to directly charge via solar for example.


Opening the panel up, you can see a bit of branding on the inside of the end caps/handles. This is also where you will find the specs and certification details. Each of the four panels from this solar array is made up of nine cells with magnets on the edges to hold it all together when folded up.
